Thanks for visiting my fundraising page for the Semper Fi Fund!   This is my way to "Support through Sport!" our injured and critically ill service members and their families.

By day, I am a Social Services Director and 24/7, I am a grandma and the mother of three US Marines; two sons and a daughter actively serving our great nation. When they left home, I took up running; first a 5k, then 10, 12, 13.1 and a duathlon all in 2013; never running more than one 5k before that. On March 23, 2014, I finished the Bataan Memorial Death March; a 26.2 mile ruck march in combat boots with a 20lb pack in the Chihuauan desert to honor my oldest Marine's buddies WIA/KIA during OEF 2012. The combat boots are from The Boot Campaign and represent my appreciation for American troops; raising awareness of the challenges they face when they return home. The Boot Campaign raises money to support their transition home - See more at: http://www.bootcampaign.com/#sthash.vR5HIo9f.dpuf Those events changed me and I have since dedicated myself to being a voice; thanking those who serve, honoring our wounded and never forgetting the fallen by sharing their stories.

I fundraise for the Semper Fi Injured Marines Fund during my training and participation for various running events. My 2014 events included the Montana Warrior Run; Bloomsday in Spokane, Montana Spartan Race, and the Montana Island Challenge 15k trail run in Lewistown, MT.

I jump started 2015 in January by completing a 5k & my first full marathon all in one weekend in Tempe, Arizona! This took a great amount of training indoors due to subzero temperatures. That was followed by a return trip in the heavy category of packing 35# pack in combat boots across the desert at the 26th Annual Bataan Memorial Death March in New Mexico in March, a half Marathon trail run and couple 10K.

I hope to make a difference in a millitary member's life and I need your help.  Your donations will go towards providing better support, financial aide, and help throughout their rehabiliation.

Thank you for cheering me on and supporting my fundraising efforts, I hope you will spread the word of my fundraising onto other friends, family, and co-workers. Your donation will be helping me me give back to our Heroes whom have given so much.  The process is fast, easy and secure.

Thanks so much for your support and please don't forget to send this page to any friends you think might be interested in donating!
