Welcome to my fundraising page!

Name: SSgt Jonathan Leal (USAF)

City/State: Dallas/TX

Bio: I enlisted into the Air Force in 2001 shortly after 9/11, I was in college and felt like I needed to do more with my life as well as prepare a future foundation for my wife and kids. I’ve served 8 years Active Duty as a Comm Technician, and now finishing up my time in the Air Forces Reserves with the 610th Security Forces Squadron here at NAS JRB, Ft Worth, Tx. I deployed to Afghanistan Jan 2007- Mar 2008 and during my time there I worked side by side with other branches to fulfill the mission. I realized how important it was to work together as well as support each other during difficult times, even after coming back home and dealing with wounded vets, PTSD and different type of depression. Regardless what branch, we are all in this together. I lost 2 good friends to these conflicts, so I believe I owe them everything for their sacrifices. The least I can do to honor them is raise awareness so that’s what I’m going to do.

For the past couple of years I got into running more, taking part in different 5k’s/10k’s an even a couple of half marathons. I’m always looking to take on different challenges and better myself physically and mentally as well as motivate others to do the same. I’ve always wanted to be part of something to help our vets in need and raise awareness and I always make it known anywhere and everywhere I go we need to remember the sacrifices that were made to have the freedom that we have. I talk a big game in supporting the wounded and our vets, but now it’s time to put that talk into action!

Help support by making a donation. The process is fast, easy, and secure. I truly appreciate any support you can provide. It will benefit a great cause!

If you can't make a donation at this point, help me reach my goal by sharing this page on Facebook and Twitter!
Or, even better, send an e-mail to friends you think might be interested in contributing and include a link to my page!

Thanks so much for your generosity!

The Organization:

Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund

The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit set up to provide immediate financial support for injured and critically ill members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families. We direct urgently needed resources to post 9-11 Marines and Sailors, as well as members of the Army, Air Force or Coast Guard who serve in support of Marine forces. The Semper Fi Fund (SFF) provides relief for financial needs that arise during hospitalization and recovery as well as assistance for those with perpetuating needs.
