Thanks for visiting my fundraising page!

I served in the Marine Corps from 1959 to 1963 as an Aviation Communications Technician. That training was to serve me very well in my career as an Electronics Technician and then as an Electronics Engineer for more than 30 years. The last 20 years I have enjoyed working as a Massage Therapist helping my clients feel better.

Having completed 100 marathons, 100 half marathons, and 100 10K's over a period of 35 years, from August 1976 to June 2011, I looked for a new goal and came up with the idea of running coast to coast which is something I have wanted to do for a long time. By doing the run on an ElliptiGO I am able to do it without the impact of regular running and to do it in 100 days.

On March 23, 2012 I will start my run on an ElliptiGO from MCRD Parris Island, SC to finish 100 days and 3000+ miles later on June 30, 2012 at MCRD San Diego, CA. March 23, 1959 was my first day in the Marine Corps at MCRD San Diego and want to do this event to celebrate the good influence the Corps has had on my life all these years.

The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund is the ideal fund and awareness raising opportunity for me to give back for the many years of enjoying a healthy and active life. The Fund allows me to help those who are not able to do so themselves due to Post 9/11 active duty injuries. A gift to the Semper Fi Fund goes directly to meet a specific need of a wounded warrior and/or his or her family member.

"As a Navy Doctor, my responsibility was keeping my Marines from First Battalion, First Regiment, Third Marines alive during our deployment with ARG/SLF ALPHA in Vietnam during 1967. I will always feel that responsibility toward Marines who are facing life-threatening challenges. I am also Brent Teal's father, and a member of the ELLIPTIGO family!
